This study aimed to describe: (1) form of vocabullary error in writing job application letters of the third-C grade students of SMK Negeri 4 Malang, (2) form of sentence error in writing job application letters of the third-C grade students of SMK Negeri 4 Malang, and (3) form of punctuation error in writing job application letters of the third-C grade students of SMK Negeri 4 Malang. This study used qualitative research design and descriptive approach. The technique of data collection was purposive sampling. The procedure of datacollection in this study were observation and documentation. The research instrument in this study was observation guidelines. The technique of data analysis was qualitative method. The results of this study indicated that: (1) the researcher found error in noun, namely thank you, photocopy, photograph and certificate. The verb has an error in the wordtest. For adverb an error occurs in the word november. And the researcher found no errors in conjunction; (2) the researcher found four students who did sentence error, the details are: the first student only wrote object and subject in a sentence, the second student only wrote the predicate, object, and adverb of place in a sentence, the third student only wrote one subjectin a sentence, and the fourth student only wrote object and subject in a sentence; and (3) the researcher found a punctuation of 14 students with details of spelling mistakes in writing the honorable,, HRD, PT ., write, thank you, photo size 3x4, Place, Date Born, Tidar, Malang, I,, this, subject matter, consideration, give, and Mr / Ms.
