- to find the optimum diameter is very dependent on the objective function and the constraints that have been made, the elevation pipe network and the pipe diameter affect the resulting relative energy yield. Therefore, the purpose of optimizing the pipe diameter is to find the most optimum diameter with the lowest installation investment cost, but this must meet the initial requirements within the established limits. lindo application makes it easy to solve problems based on linear with the goals and limitations that exist. This work aims to find and calculate the costs to be incurred if the optimum diameter is obtained to solve the problem of water pipes that are too wasteful in diameteInitial data needed is existing data in the form of pipe length, water needs and number of pipes which will then be simplified due to the lindo application can only count up to 300 orders. after simplifying the network, enter the network loading and formulation that will be used in the application with the restrictions that have been made. the application will work to find the best diameter within the given limits.after obtaining the optimum diameter, the relative energy checks are performed at each node to determine that it has met the energy limits that have been made.
