- Individuals with Intellectual Disability (ID) are more vulnerable to sexual harassment due to lack of sexual knowledge and self-protection skills. Sex education that is widely applied at this time is less effective in preventing sexual harassment of individuals with ID, so we need another solution to overcome these problems, namely assertive skills. This study aims to develop a model of sex-psychoeducation intervention on ID (PS-ID) that is valid, applicable, and effective so that individuals with ID can avoid sexual harassment. The research design used is research development. The stages of development research are planning, validation testing, applicative testing, and effectiveness testing. In the validation test stage, testing is carried out by 2 clinical psychologists with special needs children specialization. The effectiveness testing was carried out on 5 control subjects and 5 experimental subjects. The instruments used were Sexual-Abuse Prevention Knowledge Scale and Simple Rathus Assertiveness Schedule. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Test and Mann Whitney. The results of the effectiveness testing show that mean of assertive behavior in individuals with ID increase from 39,40 to 57,60 with significance <0,05. The PS-ID model is a treatment model that can be applied further.
