  • The axis road segment Balikpapan - Samarinda is the strategic route and the only access for the two cities and the surrounding city. The Road conditions that have collapsed in the cornering and narrowing areas in the Soekarno-Hatta route KM-23 and KM-60 and the landslides that occurred in KM-49 on the left side of the direction of Samarinda cause increased potential for accidents. The Balikpapan - Samarinda Toll Road is one of a series of Trans Kalimantan Toll Road (JTTK) development programs which the implementation was stopped in 2010. This study is an alternative rigid pavement of the Balikpapan - Samarinda Toll Road design with the Bina Marga 2003 and AASHTO 1993 methods. The focus of this study is on section II of the segment Samboja - Muara Jawa STA. 22 + 025 - STA. 28 + 000. Based on Bina Marga 2003 Method’s calculation, it was found that the minimum thickness of a concrete plate is 310 mm with the Bill of Quantity Recapitulation is Rp. 138.673.685.000,- Based on AASHTO 1993 Method’s calculation, it was found that the minimum thickness of a concrete plate is 300 mm with the Bill of Quantity Recapitulation is Rp. 132.769.452.000,-.
