- The title of the study is CONSTRUCTION OF DAKWAH THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA (Da'wah Message Discourse Analysis in Video Posts on Instagram @khalidbasalamahofficial Social Network Accounts) In these social media accounts there are a number of videos that provide propaganda motivation in Islamic exclamations but more on message construction in context Islamic religion so researchers want to analyze the contents of the message of preaching in the video whether the message is more inclined to aqidah, morality, sharia, muamalat Researchers use qualitative descriptive research methods to examine the contents of Instagram Khalid Basalamah, using critical discourse analysis that is communication with discourse analysis models (discourse Van Dijk's discourse analysis) which consists of four aspects namely examining the stages of interpretation, latent messages, macro and micro levels and generalization. the research results obtained that the @khalidbasalamahofficial Instagram account uses features in general Instagram social media namely video format, image format, captions feature, mentions feature, hashtag feature, and comments feature in using Instagram as a media to spread Islamic messages effectively. The phenomenon of the use of Instagram as a propaganda communication by ustad Khalid Basalamah is influenced by information motives belonging to the sociogenetic motive in the form of a curious motive from the followers on Instagram social media on @khalidbasalamahofficial, it raises the motive for the need for values in Islamic religious principles wholly namely some aspects of the curiosity about religion in Islam especially about the meaning of worship on Friday, Equality in the religious community on the view of Islam and the importance of a wife obedient to her husband.
