- Change of economic social of society and business competition claimed the existence of innovation management of company in running its business. Company shall no longer enough only orienting to advantage of eye (single bottom line), but also its contribution to development of society. Corporate activity to participate in course of development of society this is known as social responsibility of company or often referred with responsibility social corporate. Corporate Social responsibility attend as a middle course to remain to maintain useful value of company and lessen negative impact which generated in creating useful. Previous research indicate that social responsibility of company in Indonesia still very low, and this represent interesting phenomenon to be checked comprehensively. Pursuant to this matter, require to be conducted by research with aim to for important knowing of social responsibility him of company pursuant to perception of society , and company management. Intention of this research is to explorate how understanding of society to corporate social responsibility of PT. Cement Gresik. Result of this research are expected can give contribution to company to be more comprehend about the important of social responsibility of company as international business issue especially in face of globalization era. This research use convergent research method qualitative approach of Phenomenology. This approach try to look for relied on meaning is view and perception of subject accurate in detail, holistic (totally), and see its object in one context of natural, which pursuant to accurate context and time, non coming from research pre concept. Interview, observation, and documentation used by data collecting technique. Election of informan conducted by purposive, namely various certain criterion and consideration. Data analysis that used is to have the character of inductively its meaning of analysis of specific data of field become units continued with category which in the form of word, sentence, or paragraph, or part of data having separate meaning. Technique authenticity of data that used is source triangulation. Result of this research can be concluded that society residing in PT. Cement Gresik realize role and also and caring of company to existence of society. This matter is realized by company through given aids namely: social aid, education, religious aid, public media utilities, health, continuation of art & cultural, and makeup of athletics. So that what have been conducted by company to social responsibility to society can be told enough succeed. Understanding of society to program of corporate conducted by responsibility social of PT. Cement Gresik namely society know, can narrate again, can lay open target, and interest with information execution of responsibility social corporate. Therefore, execution of responsibility social corporate represent prerequisite is obliged to if company wish remain to continue exits. Execution of correct responsibility social corporate will make harmonious relation between company with society, and later can improve image, and the most important is making selfsupporting society.
