- This study aims to apply and determine the usability level of SIMTEKNIK applications using 5 aspects of Jakob Nielsen's usability and analyze the relationship between Nielsen's theory variables on usability in the SIMTEKNIK application of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This research uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The population and sample in this study were informatics students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang with a total of 143 students. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using online and offline questionnaires. Validity test per item questionnaire was calculated using the product moment formula and reliability testing using Croanbach alpha. Hypothesis testing uses the classic assumption test and multiple linear regression. The results showed that SIMTEKNIK has a usability value that is "Eligible" because the value of the test shows 72.108%. In addition, there is a significant relationship of all variables X to Y which is carried out simultaneously. While the partial test shows that there are only 3 variables that have a significant effect on usability, namely learnability, efficiency and errors, while the variable memorability and satisfaction has no significant effect.
