- This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions of social stigma and social support on psychological well-being of inmates. Perception of social stigma and social support as independent variables and dependent variable psychological well-being. The research subjects amounted to 150 prisoners who served half the prison term in Kediri class II A prison with an age range of 23 to 55 years. Purposive sampling technique is used as a method of taking subjects. Data collection uses a scale that is psychological well-scale (PWBS), perceived social stigmatization (STS) and Multidimensional scale of perceived social support (MSPSS) Analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the perception of social stigma with psychological well-being had a negative and significant effect on the value (β = -.682, p = 0,000), social support had an influence on psychological well-being with a value (β = 0.422, P = 0.000). The perception of social stigma and social support contributes to psychological well-being of 42.5%, while the large influence on the variables of psychological well-being caused by other factors is 57.5%.
