- The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of capture fisheries business using purse seine fishing gear in the hamlet of Wuring, Wolomarang Village, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research method used in this study is the questionnaire method that is by using a survey method. The objects taken in this study are 10 fishermen who have a boat with purse seine fishing gear in the Wuring hamlet. Data that has been obtained for four years, namely from 2014 to 2017 in subsequent studies were analyzed to determine the feasibility of pursen fishermen business in Wuring hamlet. Obtained the results of each calculation in the form of NPV values from 2014 to 2017 are 27.962.500.000, 17.763.982.143, 12.320.654.762 and 8.464.642.857 which means that each year> 0, the IRR values for 2014 to 2017 are 1.14, respectively. 1,13, 1.14, and 1.14, which means IRR every year> 1, BEP values for 2014 to 2017 are 8.249.999.999, 8.285.999.998, 8.285.999.999and7.616.399.999which means BEP every year> 0, Net B / C values for 2014 to 2017 are respectively - participated are 2.84, 2.03, 1.72, and 1.52 which means Net B / C every year> 1, and the value of PP in 2014 through 2017 is 10.53, 10.66, 10.52 and 10,53which means that the value of PP every year is smaller Compared to the target return of investment, it can be stated that fishing efforts by fishermen using purse seine fishing gear in the Wuring hamlet, Wolomarang sub-district, Sikka district, East Nusa Tenggara Province are feasible to continue.
