- Diversion channel and cofferdam are diversion structure that should built in the early construction of the dam. Diversion structure has function to divert the river flow during the period of the dam construction. In Ciawi (Cipayung) dam the diversion channel using box culvert that has dimension 4,20 m x 4,20 m with two amount of channel. The plans of diversion channel in Ciawi (Cipayung) in this study, redesigned using two diversion channel with circle shape. In this study, the calculations of flood routing is using Q100th obtained maximum discharge 335.02 m3/s then obtained a channel diameter is 4.20 m and maximum water elevation in front of cofferdam in El. 525.00 m. The height of cofferdam using facing dam type is 25.60 m on EL. 259.19 m, and width 7.60 m and the upstream and downstream slopes is 1: 2.30.
