- Aggressive behavior is the behavior that leads to acts of violence directed to yourself, other people or objects outside itself, either physical or verbal violence, directly or indirectly. Aggressive behavior that appears in children should receive appropriate treatment immediately because it will be very dangerous when children with aggressive behavior adulthood. Therefore, the world's children are playing, then treatment with group play therapy is one means of appropriate therapy for children who behave aggressively. The purpose of this study is to determine how effective play therapy group (group play teraphy) can reduce levels of child aggressive behavior tendencies. The research method used was experimental causality, with a pure experimental design. While the types of experiments used is re experimental (pretest-posttest control design). The subject of his research are boys aged 10-11 years who have high levels of aggressive behavior tendencies that are high in the supervision of the Milky Way Foundation Stone Malang, as many as 16 people. The sixteen subjects were divided into two groups using random assignment method, ie a control group of 8 persons and the experimental group as many as 8 people. Data collection instrument used in this study is the scale of aggressive behavior are given at the pre-test and post-test. While the analytical technique used is discriminant tests or different test with t test Based on the results of experiments and data analysis can be concluded that play therapy significantly affect the tendency of decreasing the level of aggressive behavior of children. Conclusions are based test value t calculate equal to 17.667 at a significance level (p = 0.000) which means that there are different levels of aggressive behavior in a significant trend in the experimental group between pre-test and post-test. As in the control group there was no difference in the level of aggressive behavior tendency, as indicated by the t value of -0.691 with a significance level (p 0.512> p value 0.05), thus in the control group there were no differences in levels of aggressive behavior tendency between pre- test and post-test. The difference results from the test value t is due to the experimental group receive treatment in the form of play therapy group, whereas the control group did not receive treatment.
