Daftar Isi:
- Corn is one of the cereals that is strategic and of economic value and has the opportunity to be developed because of its position as the main source of carbohydrates and protein after rice (Purwanto, 2008). Market demand that increases every year causes the demand for sweet corn also increases but this is not in accordance with the availability of sweet corn. In 2008-2010, exports of sweet corn decreased by 17.25% per year, while imports of sweet corn increased by 6.25% per year (Central Statistics Agency, 2011). One of the factors causing the decrease in sweet corn production is land degradation which results in decreased soil fertility, such as decreased levels of nutrients, organic matter content and soil pH. To overcome these problems can be done with fertilization efforts. The purpose of fertilization is to improve the level of soil fertility so that plants get enough nutrients to improve the quality and quantity of plant growth (Aisyah, et al., 2008). The purpose of this research is to find out the application of different types of organic fertilizers with different doses of fertilizer for growth and the yield of sweet corn (Zea mays L. Saccharata) talent varieties. The implementation of this research began in April to July 2019 which took place at JL. Tlogomas, Gang tirto rona, Kec. Lowokwaru. The experimental method in this study was conducted using a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), while Factor I consisted of Azolla Fertilizer (P1), Bokashi Fertilizer (P2), Blotong Fertilizer (P3) and Kascing Fertilizer (P4). Whereas Factor II included the organic fertilizer fertilizer dose consisting of a dose of 45 g (D1), 187.5 g (D2), a dose of 135 g (D3), and a dose of 180 g (D4). Variables observed included plant length (cm), stem diameter (cm), cob length (cm), cob diameter (cm), cob weight (g), number of leaves (strands), root length (cm), and maize production (cm) ton / h). The results showed that the combination of treatments such as organic fertilizer and fertilizer dosage showed that there was a very real interaction with all observed variables.
