- CV. Cempaka has 2 types of cigarettes in production, namely filter cigarettes and clove cigarettes. After the researchers make direct observations of the two types of cigarettes that often occur waste is the filter cigarette type cempaka lights, so researchers apply the concept of Lean in an effort to reduce waste. From the results of the case study in the production process of filter cempaka lights cigarettes using lean concept, the most dominant waste obtained is waste defect and the activities of producing cempaka lights filter cigarette types that are non value adding. So the researchers gave a suggestion for improvement in accordance with the results of the highest RPN in FMEA, namely by making improvements to work methods and improving the inspection process on the selection of cigarette paper suppliers so that the quality of the cigarette paper can be maximized and Making improvements to the machine set up process which is done 10 minutes before the process the finished production that was previously set up by the machine after the production process is complete results in the next process waiting.
