- Fighting was only occur to students who attend public schools, but also occurs among students who study at Islamic boarding schools. The students often showed aggression when faced with an ambiguous situation by misinterpreting the situation as hostility. One of the factors causing the emergence of aggression is the lack of capacity for social intelligence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of social intelligence with aggression behavior in adolescents living in Islamic boarding schools. This type of research is correlational with a quantitative approach. The number of subjects was 120 students in the Al-Umm Islamic boarding school which was taken by random sampling technique. The research instrument used social intelligence scale and aggression behavior scale with Pearson product moment correlation analysis. The analysis found that there was a significant negative relationship between social intelligence with aggression behavior with a value (r = 0,195)and a value (p = 0,033 <0,05). It means that the higher the social intelligence possessed by the youth of Al-Umm Islamic boarding school, the lower their aggression behavior.
