- Sinetron (= electronically cinema or television series) is one of the most favorite television show. Sinetron become a new industry which promises lots of advantage for production houses and the television management. Its presence was the representative of the actualization processed by human interaction and communications pursuant to plot to lift everyday life. Teenagers assumed to be the biggest market for entertainment industry. This assumption created not from the fact that their amount which enough significant of resident age level, it is based on their characteristics which is tends to be consumptive and easy to be persuaded. And they were quickly bored to something, and then they will easily move to something else. Whether a sinetron was interested or not, can be seen from various aspects such as: the story, role / figure instory, authenticity of story, quality of player’s acting, back sound music, displaying time, and etc. The problem of this research is "How is the appreciation of Diponegoro Tumpang High School students to the SCTV’s sinetron: “Cinta Fitri”". The purpose of this research is “to find out how is the audience’ appreciation to SCTV’s sinetron: “Cinta Fitri, especially the Diponegoro Tumpang High School students’ appreciation to these television series.” The type of this research is quantitative descriptive type, where researcher describes or depicts the population observed. Its data collecting techniques are (a) questioner (b) documentation. The technique used in this research to analyzing data is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of this research are: Understanding. The students’ understanding of the sinetron is on the scale 2,1 or good. Entertaining. The gives the scale for this aspect: 2,02 (not good). Their assessment was good (1,8) while the final assessment was good (2,0). Most of them had a good appreciation for those sinetron.
