- This study aims to determine the effect of the PBL model with the RME approach on students' creative thinking abilities and mathematical communication. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The study was conducted at the State Junior High School 06 Batu in the odd semester of 2019/2020 with class VII-E as an experimental class that received PBL model treatment with the RME approach, and class VII-F as a control class that received conventional learning treatment. The material used as research material is about integers. Research instruments in the form of pre-test and post-test written test and teacher and student observation sheets. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an influence of the PBL model with the RME approach on students' creative thinking abilities and mathematical communication. PBL models with the RME approach can be used as an alternative in the learning process to foster students' creative thinking abilities and mathematical communication.
