- ABSTRACT The research was conducted over 3 month aims to review the effectiveness of exstract fruit maja and mengkudu as a pesticide in control pets caterpillar grayak. Fruit containing marmelosin , maja a volatile oil, pectin and tanins. A compound saponin is glucoside having aglikon of steroids and triterpen. A compound saponin having sapogenin (aglikon)causing a bitter taste in fruit and having the nature of destructive maja (haemolisis). Red blood tannin compound is a compound which taste is bitter and react with protein, amino acids and an alkaloid containing many hydroxyl groups and kaboksil to from complex strong engagment with protein and macro other molecules that cause a bitter taste not favored by insects. Using a random groups factorials 2 factors include fruit with concentration exctract maja and mengkudu with doses 20 ml, 35 ml, 45 ml, than the express anything. Control without treatment with 3 test with the parameters of the intensity, attack tall plant, number of leaves, heavy, dry a heavy wetmess. A response from extract fruit maja more revealed the real compared to extract other. But not different real with an extract combination maja fruit and mengkudu by concetration 50:50 with doses 45 ml. As the doses of aplication real bearing on the growth and the results on the growth of onion plants. The higher the doses the used the good and kind of pestisida very influential on the growth of onion plants and will improve plant, high growth the number of leaves heavy fresh bulbs plant, the weight of the dried tubers plant and able to press the caterpillar grayak pest attack on an onion plants.
