  • Soekarno Hatta street is one of the solid road vehicles in Malang City. Its strong vehicles have the potential to lower air quality on the road. One of the approaches that can be used as a solution is through the use of road shade trees such as rain tree as an absorbent pollutant in the air. The leaves are a part of the plant that is able to accumulate pollutants such as lead in air. Detection can be done by identifying the lead rate of rain tree directly, on the other side of the pollutant is known to affect the damage of the leaves one of them decreases chlorophyll levels so that detection can also be done by know the levels of chlorophyll leaves rain tree. The purpose of this research is to identify the lead and chlorophyll levels of rain tree leaves in Soekarno Hatta street of Malang City, which was developed as a source of biological learning. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Sampling techniques used purposive sampling. The research was held in September 2019 in Soekarno Hatta street of Malang City, Chemical laboratory of Brawijaya University of Malang, and Biology Laboratory of Muhammadiyah University of Malang. The analysis of the data used is descriptive statistics through the data average. The results showed that the average lead rate in Soekarno Hatta street of Malang City amounted to 1.23 ppm. Average levels of a chlorophyll amounted to 1.08 mg/g, average levels of b chlorophyll of 0.68 mg/g, and average total levels of chlorophyll at 1.68 mg/g.
