- Diabetes Mellitus is a type of degenerative disease that has increased every year in countries throughout the world. Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion. The main key in the treatment of diabetes mellitus is a healthy diet and lifestyle changes. Patients with diabetes who do not get proper therapy will experience complications. To regulate sugar levels to stay balanced and avoid complications caused by Diabetes Mellitus patients need to regulate their diet. Method used in this study was a qualitative method with a case study research strategy. The interview data collection technique uses 3 respondents who were used as sources, namely patients and 2 families. The results of this study obtained 3 Themes, namely: Dietary Settings, Diit Compliance, Self Management. From the results of the study show that dietary adjustment according to type, amount, schedule (3J) need to be applied to Diabetes Mellitus patients
