  • The existensi of innovative work behavior is the function from the effectivity of leader. Inovative work behavior is mostly related with leadership style. Transactional leadership has unconsistency result in the research on inovative work behavior. The purpose of this study is to know the moderating effect of competitiveness on transactional leadership and innovative work behavior. This study is quantitative research with 130 sales marketing from several company in Malang. The measuring instruments used are Innovative Work Behavior Questionnaire, Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire and Competitiveness Scale. Data analysis using Process Macro. The result showed that there was a negative relationship between transactional leadership and innovative work behavior and competitiveness moderated the effect of transactional leadership and innovative work behavior.
