- ABSTRACT Word formation refers to morphological and grammatical process. It creates new word and terms from the original words. Nowadays, word formation process can be used by online shop business as their language style to sell their product. Word formation can be found in online shop or e-commerce especially in Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop in Shopee. The purposes of this study were to analyze the word formation processes that were used in Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop. This study was purposed to find out (1) the types of word formation process used in Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop, (2) the dominant type of word formation process used in Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop. This study used quantitative survey design to conduct this study. The data were taken from the official shop of Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop in Shopee. The research instruments in this study were the writer herself and supported by some documents about word formation process as well as Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop. This study revealed that there were 35 words of word formation process used in Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop that were divided into 4 types which are acronym, borrowing, compounding, and derivation. From all the types of word formation process found in Jolie Clothing Official Shop and Callie Cotton Official Shop, borrowing is the dominant type that was used by them. Borrowing takes words from foreign language and the purpose of it is to gain new vocabulary of language. Keywords: word formation process, clothe online shop, Shopee
