- A decrease in the quality of color brightness that is often found in cuapng aquaculture activities, especially betta halfmoon The process of improving color quality is done using color pigmentation on the body of the fish. One of the excellent pigmentation ingredients for color enhancing ingredients on the body of the fish is carophyll red. Caropyll red as one type of pigmentation material that is very good for the color quality of fish. The research was conducted in June-July 2019 at the Laboratory of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Chemistry Laboratory, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). The purpose of this study was to determine the feeding of live food enriched with carophyll red can be effective against the color of betta fish and find out the percent concentration of carophyll red that gives optimal value for the color of betta fish. The method used in the study was an experimental method and a completely randomized design (CRD) of 1 factor with 5 levels of treatment (0 g; 0.25 g; 0.5 g; 0.75; 1 g) and 5 replications. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of diversity (ANOVA), if there were differences in the results of effectiveness between treatments, a further BNT test was performed with a real level of 5%. The results show that feeding enriched using carophyll red can significantly increase the intensity of the red color on the body of a halfmoon betta fish. ANOVA analysis on color intensity measurement data H0 to H10 showed significantly different results. The best percentage values were obtained at P3 (Concentration 0.75 g) and P1 (Concentration 0.25 g) while the worst percentages were obtained in the control treatment where the percentage of colors decreased from initial maintenance to post-maintenance. The average results of measurements of water quality (pH, DO and temperature) of all treatments were in the normal range of pH 5-8.7; DO 5-7 mg / L; temperature of 23-29 ° C. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the provision of live food that has been enriched with carophyll red gets the best results at an enrichment concentration of 0.75 g.
