- Professional zakat is one of the themes of contemporary juris prudence that has not been fully accepted by Islamic Ulema Cirles. Therefor profesional zakat is still not fully implemented in the community . Along with the issuance of the law on zakat management, a lot of zakat management institutions have emerged, one of which is the GresikNational Amil Zakat Board ( BAZNAS Gresik Regency), because this amil zakat institution sees enormous potential in the application ofprofesionalzakat by involving ASN (State Civil Apparatus). This research uses a qualitative research method with BAZNAS Gresik Regency research object. The result of this study indicate that the application of professional zakat stars from the Gresik district administration first through several agencies, especially the Education Office. Distribution of professional zakat through Gresik Sehat ( free medical treatment), smart Gresik (scholarship assistance), Gresik empowered (goat livestock assistance), Gresik cares and Gresik piety (doing istigosah) and the aplication of professional zakat in BAZNAS Gresik regency has been very effective, this is indicated with the amount of profesional zakat contribution to the acceptance of ZIS in Gresik Regency BAZNAS.
