  • Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) one of the leaf vegetables that has high economic value. Lettuce is a popular vegetable because it has a color, texture, and aroma that refreshes the look of food. Lettuce leaves are commonly used as raw hunger, vegetable dishes at parties to make straits and also serve as a cure for heartburn and to launch heat in. Lettuce cultivation with verticulture is more suitable for use in narrow areas. This research was conducted in January - March 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction between media volume and urea fertilizer on lettuce plant growth, to determine the effect of media volume on lettuce plant growth, to determine the effect of urea fertilizer on lettuce plant growth (Lactuca sativa L.) verticulture system. The results showed that urea fertilizer significantly affected the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, wet weight, dry weight of plants, wet weight of roots, amount of chlorophyll, stem diameter. The D1 (1 gram Urea) treatment is the best treatment. Media volume significantly affected the parameters of number of leaves, stem diameter, wet weight, dry weight of plants, and the best treatment was found in P2 (786 cc). However, the wet weight, dry weight of root P1 (1179 cc) was the best treatment. There was no interaction between media volume and urea fertilizer on parameters of plant height, number of leaves, wet weight, dry weight of plants, wet weight, dry weight of roots, amount of chlorophyll and stem diameter of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.).
