- This research was done on August 9th – 22th, 2019 at the Laboratory of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture - Animal Husbandry, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of immersion of gouramy eggs in water hyacinth leaf extracts with different concentrations on egg hatching rate and survival rate and to determine the concentration of hyacinth leaf extract which gives the best hatching rate and survival rate values. The method used in this research is the experimental method and Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The design used was 4 treatments (0%, 6.5%, 6.75%, 7%) and 5 replications. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANAVA), if there are differences in the results of the effectiveness of the treatment carried out further tests BNT with a real level of 5%. The results showed that the water hyacinth leaf extract contained flavonoid compounds, phenols, saponins, tannins, and antioxidants so as to prevent the growth of the fungus Saprolegnia sp.. Anava analysis results on hatchability showed significantly different results, the best percentage of hatching rate in treatment D (7%) with results of 82.4%. While the results of anava analysis on survival rate showed no significant difference, the best survival rate of larvae in gouramy larvae was in treatment D (7%) of 63.75%. The range of measurements of water quality (Temperature, pH, DO) show stable results at pH 7-8 and DO 6.4 - 8.5 mg / L and results in tolerance or stable at temperatures of 23-30 °C. Microcopical observations on normal gouramy eggs without treatment showed yellow and transparent colors, while extracted eggs were seen from thick yellow and non-transparent colors. As well as eggs that have been infected with Saprolegnia sp. the morphology changes marked by the growth of fine threads resembling cotton and shrinking eggs. The application of water hyacinth leaf extract on the immersion media of gouramy eggs influences the development of embryos in the eggs and results in the larvae having an abnormal body. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the concentration of water hyacinth leaf extract which can provide the best hatching rate of gouramy eggs is in treatment D (7%) with the hatchability of 82.4% and the concentration of water hyacinth extract which can provide larval survival rate the best in gouramy larvae was found in treatment D (7%) of 63.75%.
