  • Research in mechanical engineering at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang has resulted CNC-based plotter machine for batik. The CNC-based plotter machine for batik still has some disadventages that operation is not good and eficient, the movement of stepper motor is less smooth, candle (malam) flow is not controlled so that spills occur. The research aims to produce the right programming to move the stepper motor and flowing candle (malam) on a CNC-based plotter machine for batik. The method used in this researh is the absolute programing method and research and development method. Programing to drive stepper motor using Universal G-Code Sender application. Testing of CNC-based plotter machine for batik using HVS paper with canting nozzle 0,7 mm, needle thickness 0,3 mm, and depth of press 4,6 mm. Carried out gradually every variation in speed and temperature given. This test uses a different image size according to the speed given. Canting test result obtained the best result at variations in speed 25,25,400 step/mm with variation in temperature 75°C, 80°C and line thickness of 1 mm.
