Daftar Isi:
- Genetic fingerprints have helped the medical sector to diagnose a genetic disease. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus which is also a genetic disease is now included in the category of dangerous diseases, even the IDF (International Diabetes Federation) has made type 2 Diabetes Mellitus the number seven cause of death in the world. Fluctuating Asymmetry (FA) in fingerprints can be a sensitive indicator of developmental instability due to increased growth and degenerative diseases in individuals so that they can be an early predictor of the development of type 2 diabetes in individuals since pregnancy. By counting the number of ridges on the fingerprint and comparing the difference in each pair of fingers to get an asymmetric score data then the data is normalized to find out the percentage of prediction accuracy from data processing of case samples and control samples of each gender, it is known that the highest prediction percentage in men is owned by the fifth or pinky finger pair worth 71% while in women the highest prediction accuracy is owned by the 2nd or index finger pair which is valued at 62%.The results of this study can be the first step to prevent type 2 diabetes in the future and can be done since the period of pregnancy by that cheap, fast and non-invasive methods.
