Thematic learning is an integrated learning concept, in which some learning content is linked and in the implementation of learning it is necessary to use tools to facilitate students in receiving the material well. Referring to this understanding at SDN Landungsari 02 Malang already use the thematic curriculum but in the application of teaching thematic learning students are less focused in accepting material, especially in thematic learning Theme IV Subtema II Learning III because teaching is still centered on the teacher, so there is a need for efforts to develop learning media so that students' interest in learning is more memorable and enjoyable. This study aims to: Develop a Diorama media on thematic learning theme IV subtheme II grade 1 elementary school that is valid, effective, and interesting. This research uses the type of research development (Research and Development). The data source chose grade 1 at SDN Landungsari 02 Malang, where the students met 13 people. This research was conducted in November 2018. The research procedure uses the ADDIE model, namely: (1) analyze, (2) design, (3) development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The data is taken from the results of the Observation, the results of the expert validation questionnaire and the results of the questionnaire response. The results showed that the diorama learning media can assist students in understanding material on thematic learning Theme IV Subtema II Learning III. This result is proven by the results of 80% media validation and 80% material validation. The results of trials at SDN Landungsari 02 Malang showed a response of 91%. The use of diorama learning media on thematic learning theme IV subtheme II learning III received positive responses from students until it was feasible to use.
