- The slow learner is student who has the obstacle in the one subject or all the subjects in teaching learning process and has the IQ for about 70 until 90. The primary duty of the special advisor teacher is concerning the student who has slow learner in teaching learner process. The primary duty of slow learner can be done with giving the additional time in finishing their tasks, explaining the material using the complete media, and the special advisor teacher have to do individually learning in the school of inclusion. The aim of this research are to describe the obstacle in handling the slow learner in the teaching learning process in SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang and to describe the solution of handling slow learner that is done by the special advisor teacher. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative, it means collecting the data based on spoken words. The resource of this research is the special advisor teacher of SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang, the Headmaster of SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang, and the slow learner. The data is obtained through some technique, they are interview, observation, and documentation. The checking of the data validity is using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The analysis of the data is using Miles and Huberman’s method, it is involving the data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion / verification. The result of this research shows that, the special advisor teacher of SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang has the difficulty in making Individual Learning Program or it is called PPI, so the special advisor teacher uses Lesson Plan or RPP for the slow learner. The other problems is in teaching learning process, the special advisor teacher also has the difficulty with the slow learner in making them to focus in the teaching learning process, to review the material without supporting media , the lack of using time allocation, and the evaluating to the slow learner.
