- Code mixing is one of phenomena of bilingualism that happens when people are using more than one language. If people mix their language to another foreign language, it means they are doing code mixing in their sentence. Some Indonesian novelist usually use code mixing in their writings. Code mixing can be found in “Manusia Setengah Salmon” novel by Raditya Dika. He usually uses English word in his writings because he likes using code mixing. This research is focused on Indonesian-English code mixings in “Manusia Setengah Salmon” novel by Raditya Dika. This research was proposed (1) to find out Indonesian-English code mixings found in the novel “Manusia Setengah Salmon” by Raditya Dika and (2) to analyze the forms of code mixing found in the novel “Manusia Setengah Salmon” by Raditya Dika. The researcher used a qualitative design for this research. The researcher took the data from “Manusia Setengah Salmon” novel by Raditya Dika. The research instruments of this research were human instrument or the researcher herself and document analysis that was taken from “Manusia Setengah Salmon” Novel by Raditya Dika. The result of the research showed that there were 79 data of code mixings found in “Manusia Setengah Salmon” Novel by Raditya Dika that were classified into 6 forms of code mixings. They are 35 insertions of word, 20 insertions of phrase, 11 insertions of clause, 7 insertions of hybrid, 3 insertions of reduplication, and 3 insertions of idiom. The researcher found 22 code mixings in the chapter 7, 12 code mixings in the chapter 8, and 45 code mixings in the chapter 10 of “Manusia Setengah Salmon” novel.
