  • The ceremony of labuhan gunung Kombang began in 1913 and was motivated by a traditional figure or village elder named Eyang Atun who was the forerunner to the start of the traditional harbor ceremony. The ceremony that was pioneered by grandparents has become a routine tradition every year onwards performed by the Kedungsalam village community until now, which is a form of gratitude that has been given, and get a peaceful life, peace, prosperity, and abundant fortune received by Kedungsalam village community. The existence of the meaning contained in the tradition of the labuhan gunung Kombang as defined by George Herbert Mead in the theory of symbolic interactionism with the concepts of mind, self, and society. Sources of data in this study are primary and secondary. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. There are meanings contained in the tradition of the harbor of Mount Kombang, namely 1. As a form of Requesting Peace and Prosperity in Life, 2. As an Expression of Gratitude to the Creator, 3. As a Form of Defending the Tradition of Ancestral Inheritance. 4. As a traditional tourist attraction
