- Indonesia has certain ancient literature, documentation in which have a high value comparing to another civilization of literature. There is ancient famous literature in the various archipelago. The ancient literature or a classic civilization, literature it contains information, culture, moral learning which is to be conveyed from the writer to the readers. However, the script is updated from time to time so that there are many changes in writing. So, the philologist assignment of finding a concerned script that is very close to the original script. The research problems in this study are: (1) how to transliterate the “Perhiasan Bagus” script written in Arabic-Malay characters into Indonesian, (2) how is the difference between the “Perhiasan Bagus” script and the current script, (3) how the female character in “Perhiasan Bagus” script Arabic letter Malay collection of the Kepah boarding school. The research methodology used in this study is a description design. The source of this study is the “Perhiasan Bagus” script that existed in the Kepah boarding school. The data used in this study is in the form of text which is the shape of a language unit, in the form of sentences, transliteration results, the difference between the ancient script and modern script, and citations which is supporting the ideas of women’s moral in the script of “Perhiasan Bagus”. The research techniques used in this study are data collecting and data processing. The results of this study were the same in the whole script of ancient and modern “Perhiasan Bagus”. As the same as women’s moral discussion. The ancient script of “Perhiasan Bagus” contains an original script which was written by the author itself, while the modern script of “Perhiasan Bagus” was written to make the readers are easy to comprehend the contents. The difference between ancient and modern script are the language used, characters used, writing procedures and the packaging of the books. In the script of “Perhiasan Bagus”, the letters of Arabic-Melayu collection in kepah Islamic boarding school, there are some morals that must be owned by women including women’s morality towards family including parents and husband, towards Allah, towards community and morality against men who are not muhrim.
