  • This study aimed to examine and analyze the factors that are considered in selecting a business location for coffee shops and to examine and analyze the most considered factor in selecting a business location for coffee shops. The coffee shop was a growing service business. The location that closes to colleges made it sought after business. That was made coffee shops to be the one of service business with a high amount near colleges. The data were analyzed using factor analysis. The respondents in this study are 50 owners of coffee shops that were located around 10 colleges in Malang The method for data collection were using interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study showed the factors considered by coffee shops in selecting a business location consists of visibility, access, costs of location, competitors, and market. The most considered factor in selecting a business location for coffee shops was visibility.
