Daftar Isi:
- This study aims to determine the effect of transient temperature on the distortion and mechanical properties of the Tungsten Inert Gas welding results with Aluminium 5083. The Transient Thermal Tensioning of 150 °C, 200 °C, and 250 °C were applied in this experiment. For the current used AC current with 35% AC frekuency and 85 current welding with a pressure of 10 liters / minute using Argon Gas. The low distortion using a Heater temperature of 250 °C than 200 °C and finally 150 °C. The highest average hardness of the specimen with a temperature of 150 °C lies in the weld metal region with a value of 4.691 kg/mm2. Then the second highest is located in the Heat Affected Zone region with a value of 2.708 kg/mm2 and the last is located in the base metal are with a value of 2.3 kg/mm2. Then the highest average hardness of the specimen with a temperature of 200 °C lies in the HAZ region with a value of 3.601 kg/mm2. Then the second highest lies in the weld metal area with value of 3.068 kg/mm2 and the last is located in the base metal are with a value of 2.799kg/mm2. Furthermore, the highest average hardness of the specimen with a temperature of 250 °C lies in the HAZ region with value of 5.098 kg/mm2. Then the second highest lies in the weld metal area with a value of 2.287 kg/mm2 and the last is located in the base metal region with a value of 1.923 kg/mm2. Heater temperatur of 250 °C is the best temperature used in welding TIG aluminium material. Keywords: TIG welding, distortion, mechanical properties
