- This study aims to describe the strategy in the implementation of the Child-Friendly City policy strategy in Malang where Malang City itself in the past four years received an award as a Medium-sized Child-Friendly City. This is supported by programs carried out by agencies in Malang related to the implementation of Child Friendly Cities, one of which is DP3AP2KB. In order to address problems in implementing child-friendly city policies, the research explains the factors that determine the success of policy implementation such as communication (socialization), resources (human and budgetary), disposition and bureaucratic structure (SOPs and Dissemination of responsibilities). This research uses descriptive - qualitative research methods. Data sources used in this study are in the form of interview data, documents from DP3AP2KB, and journals or books that are relevant to this research. As for the study taken, namely in DP3AP2KB. While the research subjects who became informants were the head of the child protection sector, and several people of Malang City. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses stages including data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the strategy undertaken is socialization in various media and carried out directly to the people of Malang. Implementers of child-friendly city policies in Malang try to work professionally because they have been supported by an honorarium that is able to support employee performance. The policy implementer is also committed to how child-friendly city policies can be successful so that they can empower a developed and quality Malang city. The existence of city-appropriate child policies has received a variety of responses from various policy objectives, ranging from parents and various student circles. Based on these results, it is generally concluded that DP3AP2KB has made every effort to carry out good child-friendly city policy strategies to the people of Malang. Although there are still some deficiencies that exist, solely trying to implement child-friendly city policy is not just DP3AP2KB, there are still many other agencies that participate in the successful implementation of child-friendly city strategy, DP3AP2KB cannot stand alone without integration from other offices, one department tries to support each other and support each other, routinely conducts coordination and corrects each other in building a partnership.
