- This study aims to describe the workload, performance, and work stress of nurses at Babat Muhammadiyah Hospital. Knowing the significant effect of workload on work stress. Knowing the significant influence of work stress on nurse performance. And find out the significant effect of workload on nurse performance through work stress. The sample of nurses in this study were 33 nurses in the inpatient room. Data collection techniques using interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The analytical tool used in this study is the path analyst used to measure how much direct and indirect influence on nurse performance. It is known that the workload of nurses at Babat Muhammadiyah Hospital is included in the high category, nurses 'performance is in the sufficient category, and nurses' work stress is in the sufficient category. Based on the results of workload analysis have a positive and significant effect on work stress, work stress has a positive and significant effect on performance, workload has a positive and significant effect on performance and workload has a positive and significant effect on performance through work stress. The result is that the indirect effect is greater than the direct effect so the work stress variable can be an intermediary or mediate.
