- Grayak caterpillar (Spodoptera litura L.) is a pest for vegetable crops including mustard greens (Brassica chinensis L.). Management of armyworm pests (Spodoptera litura L.) using chemical pesticides that can cause cases of pests resistant, pest resurgence and environmental pollution that will have an impact on health. One alternative to overcome these problems is to use plant-based insecticides from various plants. One of the plants that have the ability as a plant insecticide is a plant tembelekan (Lantana camara L.). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of duan Tembelekan extract on the mortality of armyworm caterpillar on mustard (Brassica chinensis L.) plants. The concentrations used are 5%, 15%, 25%, 35%, 45%, and 55%, and control. The results of the study were tested with data analysis using Kruskal- Wallis and tested continued with the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed an increase in the average mortality of Spodoptera litura L. larvae at each concentration within 32 hours. Development of research results on the effectiveness of plant-based insecticides on grayak caterpillars on mustard plants as a source of learning biology in accordance with the material planning and making reports on solving pollution problems that occur in the surrounding environment and analyzing the occurrence of environmental pollution and the impact on the KD 4.8 ecosystem at junior high school grade VII even semester. .
