- The general elections in Indonesia starts a new phase with the holding of simultaneous elections, legislative and presidential and vice presidential elections in 2019. This is as the implementation of Law No. 7 of 2017 on General Elections. The holding of the general election this time is very competitive and has hot tension not only in the scope of the elite but also in the community, especially in the presidential and vice presidential elections which are only attended by two couples namely the couple Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin and Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to provide an overview of the behavior of the level of political participation of the community and the factors that determine the behavior of Sukun District voters in the 2019 Presidential and Vice President Elections. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses four stages including, data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The theory used is the determinants of voter behavior both sociological, psychological, and rational factors. The results of this study indicate that the political participation of the community in Sukun Sub-district in the 2019 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections has increased compared to 2018 which was 79%. Whereas in terms of aspects of voter behavior shows that the voters of Sukun Subdistrict community are influenced by the aspects of religion, campaign strategy, and work programs of prospective candidates. While the family has no influence at all and the political aspect of money also has no influence because the practice only occurs in legislative elections. Thus the people of Sukun Subdistrict are more rational and psychological, because in their behavior choosing them places more emphasis on the work program aspects and campaign strategies of the candidates. This is certainly better than for demonstration rather than being influenced by money politics or just depending on the choice of family.
