- Along with the development of technology that is increasingly rapid and advanced, to measure an acceleration when running can use the accelerometer technology. Accelerometer can be used as a human aid which has several advantages, especially for checking acceleration and mileage. Motion detection is based on 3 axes namely right-left, top-bottom and front-back. In this study, the amount of acceleration on the x, y, and z axis of the accelerometer sensor using distance parameters includes 5 meters, 10 meters, 15 meters and 20 meters. Test results obtained by 15 respondents with age categories according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia are children, adults and the elderly. Then, it can be concluded that the highest results from the calculation of speed, distance and error a good percentage of errors are child respondents. Monitoring test results are strongly influenced by age, distance traveled and smartphone position. The accurate position of the smartphone is in the pants pocket.
