  • Progress in knowledge and technology in the industry has driven an increase in demand for composite materials. The development of science and technology in the industry began to complicate conventional materials such as metals to meet the needs of new applications. The matrix used in this study is titanium waste fiber using fiber orientation 0o, 45o, 90o. The results showed that the highest tensile strength value was found in composites with a fiber orientation of 45°, with a tensile strength of 1,653 kgf/mm2, while the lowest tensile strength was in a 90o fiber orientation with a value of 0.75599 kgf/mm2. The orientation of the fiber affects the tensile strength of the composite, the direction of the perpendicular fibers does not provide reinforcement but will weaken, the fiber and the matrix will be released from the bond.
