Daftar Isi:
- The use of wireless technology is widely applied to a variety of products used in everyday life, in its administration requires an electrical energy source that comes from batteries, but if used continuously the battery energy will be depleted therefore new renewable energy sources are needed that can be charging the battery, one of which utilizes wind energy by using wind turbines. This research is one part of the design of the data acquisition anemometer, by developing a vertical axis wind turbine to supply energy to the radio transmitter telemetry which is an important component in the data acquisition anemometer. In this study the battery was designed to last 168 hours for the operation of radio transmitter telemetry and the design of a vertical axis wind turbine for charging energy in the battery. By choosing a 12 V 5 Ah dry battery (battery) with a 12 V 0.12 A tool load, to last for 168 hours 5 parallel batteries are needed. For blades using 3 types of cup and 0.50 m in diameter. Data from the wind turbine test results can explain that the wind speed is directly proportional to the voltage (V) produced, but in this test the resulting voltage is not as planned, so that the generator is tested and using the extrapolation method the generator rotational speed is 1016.91 rpm to reach a 12 volt voltage.
