HUBUNGAN DURASI BERMAIN GAME ONLINE PUBG MOBILE TERHADAP RISIKO DE QUERVAIN’S SYNDROME PADA MAHASISWA DI KOTA MALANG

- Background : De Quervain's syndrome is a syndrome involving the carpometacarpal and metacarpal joints of the thumb caused by stenosing tenosynovitis due to repetitive movements accompanied by excessive movements (overuse), with positive classic signs of the Finkelstein test. Player unknown battleground mobile or PUBG mobile can often be repetitive movements that have the potential to cause stenosing tenosynovitis. Objective : This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the duration of playing online PUBG mobile games to the risk of De Quervain's Syndrome in students in the city of Malang. Method : This research is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design conducted in August 2018 - October 2019. The sample of this study was 60 players PUBG mobile taken by accidental sampling. Data obtained from the Guttman questionnaire and the Finkelstein test questionnaire. Results : Based on the results of the study note that there is a relationship between the duration of playing PUBG mobile online games to the risk of de Quervain syndrome. This is based on the statistical test from Spearman which obtained the significance value of p (p = 0.024). Conclusion :There is a significant relationship between the duration of playing PUBG mobile games to the risk of De Quervain's Syndrome.
