- The construction Kediri Airport is a government effort in accommodating people’s needs for air transportation which continues to increase. Project of airport construction initiated by PT Gudang Garam Tbk, and set by the government as National Strategic Project ( PSN ) since 2016. This airport is projected to be an international airport and located at 4 village in 3 Sub-District of Kediri Regency, including Grogol Village as a research location. This research aims to describe the socio-economic changes in society as the impact of construction Kediri Airport in the Grogol Village community, Grogol Sub-District, Kediri Regency, this research also uses a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The subject of the research is the village of Grogol in accordance with the criteria set by the researcher. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and verification. Research result showed that the construction of the airport in Kediri provided a social economic change to the society around construction sites including the Village of Grogol. Social changes that occur include changes in the structure of society and changes to the system of social relations because development encourages relocation, thereby reducing community interaction and togetherness. Economic changes that occur include changes in income due to changes in community employment and changes in housing and food and clothing
