  • Echinodermata Besides having high economical value is also beneficial as an indicator of good beach conditions. However, high and low affinity species of Echinodermata on the shore can affect the ecosystem. The purpose of this research is to describe the affinity and classification of Echinodermata community in the beach area of Parang Dowo Malang regency. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive while the direct method of transect and observation becomes sample collection. The Plot used is 1 m x 1 m with a total of 25 dots. Affinity specified with table contingency 2 x 2 then calculated the value of the Jaccard index, while for the community classification is determined based on the table abundance of species with the formula Euclidean Distance. The results showed 4 species, with 6 combinations of inter-species associations. Based on the results of the association test showed 1 low categorized combination, while 5 other combinations were very low in thickness. Based on the formula test results Euclidean Distance there are 4 species with 2 smallest values that have common characteristics. So it can be concluded that the beach has changed ecosystem.
