- Mental disorder is a condition in which a person experiences disturbances in thoughts, behaviors, and feelings manifested in the form of a set of symptoms or meaningful behavioral changes, and can cause suffering and obstacles in carrying out people's functions as humans. Patients who are in Hayunanto Medical Center (HMC) are mental patients who have experienced severe levels. So the existence of the HMC is very helpful for patients in healing people with mental disorders. Based on the existing background, the purpose of this study is to: (a) find out what factors cause mental disorders; (b) how the therapeutic program is in healing mental disorders at the Hayunanto Medical Center (HMC). This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, in determining the subject of research using a purposive technique. The data collection techniques used are direct observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. While data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. In accordance with the background and formulation of the problem above, the results of this study indicate that: (a) the factors causing mental disorders are family, heredity, occupation, and drugs; (b) At HMC, there are several therapeutic programs in the treatment of people with mental disorders including: medical therapy, psychoregius, and psychotherapy.
