  • Business English is one of subject that have by English Language Education Department in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Business English subject gives the students’ knowledge about basic of management, hotel and company, English communication in business field and correspondence. That knowledge is expected to be useful when the students do an apprenticeship. But, there are some opinions of students that all of the knowledge is not always used and implemented in the place of apprenticeship. In that case, the researcher to find out and identify student perception about Apprenticeship in Business English subject. The aims of this research were to describe student’s perceptions on Apprenticeship program toward Business English and to find out the factor of student’s perceptions program toward Business English subject. Mixed method was used as research design in di research. Quantitative research was used by the researcher to find out the percentage of student’s perception about apprenticeship program toward Business English subject. While, qualitative research was used in giving description of the student’s interview report that influence the student’s perceptions about apprenticeship toward Business English subject. The sample was taken for this research were 24 students of 2015 ELED UMM mixed from Class A and B. The instrument of this research were questionnaire and interview. The finding found that The students’ perception toward Apprenticeship of Business English elective subject reviewed by their perception was categorized as a positive perception. It was shown by the mean The mean score of the students’ opinion was 3.92 from 24 students. It means Apprenticeship of Business English have a positive perception. There were some factors that could influence the students’ perception. They were personality, interest, past experience, expectations, values and need of person.
