  • To respond to the current energy crisis, several experts have developed various alternative energies. Biopelet is a type of solid fuel based on biomass waste with a size smaller than the size of a briquette. Biopelet using the basic ingredients of bagasse (bagasse) in PG. Trangkil, Pati, Central Java. Knowing the effect of variations in drying temperature on the biopelet quality of sugarcane bagasse. The study was conducted at PG. Trangkil, Pati, Central Java. The results of the study tested the value of water content and density values at the Laboratory of Chemistry, State University of Malang (UM). Data analysis using Anova Spss test. That the value of water content in biopelet with a drying temperature of 500 ° C obtained an average value of 8.4727%, biopelet with a drying temperature of 600 ° C obtained an average value of 7.1628%, and a biopelet with a drying temperature of 700 ° C obtained an average value of 6.6802%. The value of water content according to the requirements of SNI 8021: 2014 shows that the value of the maximum water content is 12%. Based on the results of this study indicate that the value of water content obtained from temperature variations meets these requirements. The density value on biopelet with drying temperature 500 ° C obtained an average value of 0.6560 g / cm3, biopelet with drying temperature 600 ° C obtained an average value of 0.6928 g / cm3, and biopelet with drying temperature 700 ° C obtained an average value of 0.7096 g / cm3. The density value according to the requirements of SNI 8021: 2014 shows that the minimum density value is 0.8 g / cm3. Based on the results of this study indicate that the density values obtained from temperature variations do not meet these requirements.
