Daftar Isi:
  • Soil macrofauna is a soil fauna that some or all of its life activities are in the soil or on the surface of the land. Soil macrofauna can be used as an indicator of soil fertility and determine the stability of an ecosystem. This study aims to identify and knowing the Abundance and Diversity of Soil Macrofauna in Coffee Agroforestry and Coffee Plantation in the slopes of Mount Ijen Bondowoso. Two lands of research can be compared because of differences in environmental conditions on agroforestry land with plantation land although the types of plants planted are the same. This research was conducted on coffee agroforestry land and coffee plantations on the slopes of Mount Ijen Bondowoso last June 2019. Sample identification was carried out at the Biology Laboratory of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This research was quantitative descriptive and data was collected by using Pitfall Trap and Hand Sort methods with 30 plots on each land. Data was taken in the form of soil macrofauna samples and counted the amount and measured the soil abiotic factors at each sampling location. The data was obtained then analyzed with a diversity index, evenness, and important value index (INP). The results obtained 20 types of soil macrofauna consists of 19 families and 10 orders. In the field of coffee agroforestry, there are 10 ordos 15 families and 16 genera with a total of 173 individuals. while on coffee plantations land obtained 10 ordos, 15 family and 15 genera with a total of 126 individuals. Index of soil macrofauna diversity on agroforestry land at station 1, station 2 and station 3 had a medium category, range between 1.71 - 2.67, While coffee plantations at station 3 had low category with a value (H ') of 0.82. The abundance of macrofauna in coffee agroforestry land was 0.172, and the abundance of macrofauna in coffee plantations was 0.064. So it can be concluded that the abundance of soil macrofauna in coffee agroforestry is higher than coffee plantations. The results of this study used as a source of learning Biology on biodiversity material for high school students in class X in the form of a pocket book.
