- This study aims to determine: 1) The ethics of the teacher in the book of Adab al-'Alim wa al-Muta'allim, 2) The relevance of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari about teachers in the context of modern education. This research is a library study (Library Research) using descriptive research methods, from the overall data collected and then analyzed in a qualitative manner using the Content Analysis method. Application of the Content Analysis method will reveal the contents of KH. Hasyim Ash'ari as stated in the book of Adab al-'Alim wa al-Muta'allim. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari about the teacher in the book of Adab al-limAlim wa al-Muta’allim always do everything according to Allah's demands. So that his intention will always be maintained only to get closer to God, always improve his personality, by always giving examples and good role models to his students. The relevance of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari about teacher ethics in Islamic education which covers the context of modern education, often accentuates the demands of professionalism. The teacher as the activator of education is also required to be a professional person in order to be able to carry out their duties, namely directing, guiding students to further enhance their knowledge and develop their potential and potential. The results of this study are expected to be a contribution to the treasury of knowledge and information materials as well as input for students, faculty, researchers and all parties in need.
