- This study discusses about social reunification process carried out by the Doulos Recovery Agency LKS. Reunification is the process of reunification or returning a client back to the community. The reunification process must be planned systematically and consider many aspects, especially the family and the environment where the client lives. The main purpose of this process is to help the social functioning of the client in the community. The purpose of this study is to determine how the social reunification process was carried out by the Doulos Recovery Institution, the supporting factors, also to determine whether there were any supporting and inhibiting factors included. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study illustrated that the social reunification process of PMD (Person with mental Disorder) clients at the Doulos Recovery Institution started from the moment client entered the institution until the termination stage. The engagement and assessment stages were an important key in making the right planning for clients in the reunification process. The focus of the reunification process was not only on the client but also on the client's family. The reunification process itself was reflected in several Doulos activities, such as holistic assessment, home visits, family counseling, and family support groups. In addition, there were supporting and inhibiting factors that influenced the implementation of this social reunification. The results of the study illustrated that a positive family and environment have a significant role in determining the success of the reunification process.
